I've written many poems, about life with MND, I'm compelled to write another, for a man who's a hero to me . You are utterly amazing, in everything you do, Incredible and selfless, Kevin that man is you! To run 7 in 7, has got to be really tough, But you decided that, once is not enough. I can't quite believe, you want to do it 7 times , I just want you to know, you really are sublime! What you are doing, really means so much, Raising awareness, so many still out of touch! The money you raise, will help to find a cure, Your brave friend Rob, would be so proud that's for sure. Your devotion to Rob, can't be ignored, You are an inspiration, of which we all applaud When you carried Rob, remains in our hearts forever, Two friends and two legends, finishing together! You say that you, are just running for a mate, But what you've achieved, is brilliant and great ! Not all super heroes, wear a cape they say! But you would be worthy, to wear one any day. When you ran in Brighton , I met you and just cried! For all those affected, your a hero far and wide. Your speeches are empowering, you say it's nothing compared to us! Running through pain and injury, and never making fuss. There simply aren't the words, that can thank you enough, But please remember this, when the going gets rough! Of course the thanks, are extended to your team, The community forever grateful, what you achieve is like a dream! What you have accomplished, deserves a knighthood , Arise Sir Kevin, really does sound good! We will all support you, as you keep banging the drum, Cheering you on, next time that you run.
